These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the First Vault mobile application ("First Vault", the "App", or the "Service"), provided by Namrata Pithva, an individual developer trading as Namrix Tech ("we", "us", "our"), based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. By downloading, installing, or using First Vault, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
First Vault is a password manager that lets you store and organize passwords, payment card details, and Wi-Fi credentials; unlock your vault using device biometrics (Face ID/Touch ID) or a password; check saved passwords against known data breaches ("Breach Watch"); use password AutoFill in other apps and websites; and create encrypted backups of your vault that you can export and restore.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account. First Vault is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law) to use the Service.
You may create an account using Google Sign-In, Sign in with Apple, or an email and password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your sign-in credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any password, card, or Wi-Fi entry you save or import into First Vault. If you import data from another password manager or service, that export file may contain readable, unencrypted secrets — only handle such files on a trusted device and delete them once the import is complete.
You are responsible for keeping your device and its lock screen secure, since anyone with access to an unlocked device may be able to access an unlocked vault.
First Vault lets you create encrypted backup files protected by a passphrase you choose. We do not store this passphrase anywhere, cannot recover it on your behalf, and cannot decrypt your backup file without it. If you lose your backup passphrase, that backup cannot be recovered by us or anyone else. By design, a backup can only be restored into the same account that created it; restoring a backup into a different account is blocked for your security.
First Vault offers optional Premium subscriptions (monthly or yearly) processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, using RevenueCat for subscription management. Where offered, a free trial converts automatically into a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends. Subscriptions renew automatically at the price and interval shown at purchase until cancelled. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings — we do not have the ability to cancel or refund a subscription directly. Refunds are subject to Apple's and Google's respective refund policies, not ours.
Breach Watch checks whether a password you've saved has appeared in a known data breach, using a privacy-preserving method that never transmits your full password (see our Privacy Policy for details). Breach Watch is informational only — it does not guarantee that a password is safe, and a "not found" result does not mean a password is strong or unique.
You agree not to: use First Vault for any unlawful purpose; attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App beyond what is permitted by applicable law; interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure; or use the Service to store or process content that is illegal, infringing, or harmful to others.
First Vault, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the App — only a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it on your own devices for personal, non-commercial purposes.
First Vault is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that vault data will never be lost due to device failure, user error, or factors outside our control.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, credentials, or profits, arising from your use of or inability to use First Vault — including loss resulting from a lost passphrase, a lost or stolen device, or compromise of your own device security. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including consumer protection laws that may apply in your country.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or violation of these Terms.
You may stop using First Vault and delete your account at any time (see our Privacy Policy for how). We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if required by law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the "Effective date" above when changes are made, and material changes will be communicated in-app or by email where practical. Continued use of First Vault after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles — except where applicable local consumer protection law in your own country grants you rights that cannot be limited by this clause, in which case those rights remain unaffected.
